This site is AWESOME! I downloaded Alice and Kev, but I can’t figure out how to get them into my town…can you help?
In The Sims 3 launcher, click the ‘Downloads’ button, then select the Alice and Kev Lot, and click ‘Install’. When that’s done, load up your game as normal, then go to the ‘Edit Town’ screen. Alice and Kev’s park should show up in the lots that you can place down into the neighborhood from there.
I have followed the instructions for downloading Alice and Kev, I still don’t see them in the Lots (after installing) I downloaded, installed, restarted but no luck. Please can you assist further.

well, you need money to buy a lot to put their “house” on. It’s unfourtunatly not like sims 2, where you can stick a lot anywhere…. you’ve gotta stick with what’s already there.So there’s a little cash to buy a lot with.
which town?? if sunset valley, ther eis a little spot over on a small road which has many vacant(residental) lots for sale and there is one which you can place Alice and Kev`s Park on. If you do, then just do procedures regularly and it should work, did for me. Hope i helped!!

there in riverview. Any location and household she talks about is in riverview.
oh if you meant that they arent loading in the library bin, then click that “only show custmized familires” or whatever star thing by the squares containing families. Alice and Kev(bin diver) should be there. Hope i helped!

When you start a new game instead of going into Creat a sim or Choose Household(or something like that) go to the option that says move in household (not exact words but you get what i mean) and there should be a picture of the “Alice and Kev” Family click them and drag them in to a house that they can “aford”

No. There are many factors that effect the way that Robin has “raised” Alice and Kev, so it will not be the same, but you can play them out the way YOU want to.. that’s the beauty of it, I guess!

I would think not, because the story take shape around both what the Sims do on their own (which isn’t always the same thing), and intervention by you.

I am downloading Alex and Kev! I love them! I will play them a bit differently though. I want Alex to get a part time job maybe and definitely get a job as a Young Adult. She’ll have lots of promotions and perhaps marry a nice guy.

Hey! I’m Wolfie, I’m also on The Sims 3 Site with the same username… I downloaded these two, and moved in Alice with Agnes Crumplebottom. xD So far they’re okay… Alice is doing better in school too. As for Kev, I think I killed him off by making him tinker with something and then he got electrocuted. HAHA! Serves him right. So I made their old “home” a community lot called Bin Diver Park. >.< Cute, right? Plus it still has all the old stuff. ^_^ Teddy and random steaks and whatnot. Anyway, your site is amazing and I can't wait to read more!
The point of the story is thier homelessness. You’re not supposed to make them unhomeless unless you save them enough money, but that’s nearly impossible, if you only keep them at the lowest career rank like Alice and Kev are.
You’re not “supposed” to do it in any particular way. Yeah the “point” was to make them homeless, but you can do with them whatever you want. That’s the beauty of downloading them and playing them yourself.
Actually I just recently deleted my version of Sunset Valley and reverted it to the way it is when you buy The Sims 3, and moved Alice and Kev in, returning them to homelessness. Reason? I got bored with Mrs. Crumplebottom giving Alice such a hard time. -_-

Hey!I played Alice (as a child) and Kev in the exact same neighborhood in the exact same lot that you have the original Alice and Kev in! They are in Riverview, and I figured out were to put them in Riverview cause the lot that they come with says what address it is. I matched the empty lot address with the vacant lot address and boom! It’s just like the story! Now if only I could get it to actually play out the story!

It was weird I visited the lot and all of a sudden there was this random baby there, that apparantly is Kev’s son.

One of the current major Bugs in the Sims 3 is that if you leave a lot to go into story mode, folks will just start producing children–even if they had no mates. I’m guessing this is to help the population grow and age, but it does mean one should (at least until they finally release an update) only play one household at a time and be very careful about going into neighborhood edit mode.
another is the game may ranodmly delete your families. The Landgraabs and a custom family of mine have already ben deleted, thats why ive saved my(important) fmailies to the library

great charcters 🙂 i downloaded teenage alice and kev. they still live on the original lot they came with but alice is now a young adult and has one toddler with her current boyfriend. her toddler hates her. and she is preganant again with someone elses baby, she is not married and managed to cheat on her boyfriend several times. bless her 🙂 as for kev, he just goes to the Bunch household and steals there fruit off the trees 🙂

I have downloaded Kev and Alice as a child. Funilly enough the two seem to get along just fine, apart from Kev telling Alice to leave the room every now and then. Alice just started talking to Kev, which he apparently found pleasant. Pleasant enough for the two to be friends.
I am curious to see how this will work out when Alice becomes a teen.

You have to go into the game launcher and under downloads you then have to install the family…I think 😀 I hope I helped

My question ( which will probably look dumb since I am not a sims expert ) is: what town did you use for alice and kev to live in? Because I like the houses they sleep in expecially 🙂 the old ladies’ house kev slept in principally. The objects in the room he acted inappropriately to sleep in were just great 😀

I downloaded them, killed off Kev, gave Alice a job, and used cheats to give her 50,000 simoleons. And now she’s happy. 🙂
I downloaded A&K and I am looking forward to watching how they interact – I’m thinking that I’ll just let them do their own thing for a bit and then try to get Alice out of the gutter at some point. I made a homeless pair before but ended up giving them stuff as I felt bad for them xD Hopefully I can resist with these two, and just let Alice make her way in the world as best she can. ♥ And who knows! Maybe Kev can find love too and get out of the park.
It’s hilarious that people are downloading the Alice/Kev package and rescuing Alice from her transient plight. If only it was as easy to do the same for real-life street kids!
The comment about Alice’s mom is interesting too. Ever think about bringing her into the picture?
I think it would be interesting to see a whole neighborhood of bums and homeless people. I’ve kicked around the idea of doing a trailer park community.

woow! i absolutly LOVE this story. i am going to get the sims 3 soon, when i do i will download these charecters. ill see what happens and then tell you.
So I put Alice and Kev into my neighbour hood with their park. No baby appeared, but alice did grow up into an adult, and when I looked at the family funds they had a few thousand so she must be doing OK in her job.
Almost as soon as I had put them in the game, Kev approached my elderly mother in the family I was playing, and insulted her terribly.
But when the teenage son of my current family met Alice (as a teen) they really hit it off and became best friends when he invited her back from school. Nothing happened romantically between them until they were both adults, and I intervened and got them married! Kev wasn’t invited to the wedding.
And that is where I left the game so far. Alice has moved in with my original family (the elderly mum and her two grown up children) but they’re not exactly rich, so things aren’t going to be luxurious. I hate doing the cheats personally they ruin the game for me. My sims work for their pennies!
Maybe I’ll have them invite Kev over for a family meal…
I agree, especially if you’re trying to make a story, cheats totally ruin it!
well, I’m all about putting challenges in front of me, especially with poor sims, so I really hate to use the cheats too. I love to see what kind of life I can build for them, and how long it takes me! Alice and Kev did eventually have a very beautiful house, which kev only got a few days in. And I didn’t manage to finish his bedroom until after he died…. “oops”. It wasn’t very big, but it was the most gorgeous little cottage I’ve ever seen! I was so proud of Alice, and, sure,Kev a little.
I found your story via a link posted to Reddit. It’s truly fascinating and you’re a wonderful storyteller. It makes me wonder whether a similar scenario would even be possible in the Sims 2.
I’d love to buy the Sims 3, but it’s not in the budget right now. That said, I think I’ll download the lot now in the hopes of someday getting the game.
Either way, you’ve definitely inspired me to try my own hand at Sims storytelling (even if I don’t have 3 … yet).
I feel foolish about my above comment. Since Alice and Kev are hosted on the Sims3 Web site, which I hadn’t realized before I checked out the link, I won’t be able to download them until I get the game.

Tonight,Kev and Alice began their lives in my game. Things went downhill pretty quickly, with Alice especially upset about her smell and her aching belly. Kev ran up to the community garden where three blacks were enjoying the sunny day. As uaual, he was ranting and raving, and they all doubled over laughing at him. Meanwhile,Anita got off the bus with Alice and sat in the weed field awhile, but when Alice repeatedly begged Anita to let her come sleep at her house, Anita kept saying no.
Alice stayed late at school the next day and got a little joy from swinging. Then she found the showers, and things looked up even more. But when she got home, after curfew — OMG!
The Grim Reaper was there, taking away her father! She burst into sobs — if only she had come home on time, she might have done something to save him! At that moment,she had a lifetime wish (granted!) to become a world-class surgeon, so no one close to her would ever die like that again. Then she lay down on the bench, exhausted, and despite her grief, fell asleep.
But at that moment, life threw her another gigantic curveball. As she lay sleeping, a social worker announced she was going to take her away from her homeless life, since there was no longer an adult to care for her.
So I never got to find out how she became a world-famous surgeon. (And she never did eat a thing in her whole life.)
Why do they have to be “three blacks” enjoying a sunny day? Why not three other sims? Or three character?

yeah, I remember that. It was cool, except they didn’t ever have any memories of home or their parents or anything. I love that in Sims 3 you can visit your children after they’ve been taken away. My teenage son took his lil bro to the park, it was so cute!

Reading your story has inspired me to create a homeless sim of my own.
I made a young adult named Alice. Her life time want is to have 20 friends. She’s really cute, afraid of the dark and a bit childish. The good thing is she loves the outdoors and doesn’t really mind sleeping on the bench.
On her first evening a burgler came into her lot and stole her bench D:
It was okay because her bills are only $4.
Alice spends a lot of her time in town; showering at the gym or sleeping on the bench outside the bookstore.
Hopefully my Alice can make lots of friends and fufill her lifetime wish and I hope your Alice has a happy ending too!
Does the download for Alice and Kev include the “empty” lot? Or is that lot available on the exchange as well?

The one in the teenager Alice version is the one used in the story. The one in the child Alice version is just a very quick recreation, as I didn’t actually save a copy of it with Alice as a child.
Great job on the story! I’ve heard that Sims can be used to tell stories, but having a story of this magnitude is most impressive. It inspired me heaps as a human being, and I hope that this can be a tool to help with teaching others about homelessness.
I have dabbled with Sims 1 before, and was terribly bad at it. I didn’t touch Sims 2 because of the horrible stuff people were doing to their Sims. I would like to try out several scenarios using different social issues. Maybe if life turns out good or bad for your characters, maybe you can tackle other issues, either with the same character/s or another set altogether.
Great experiment and hope to read some more. Engaging and thought-provoking. If you make a book out of this, even a children’s book with little pictures, I’d buy it. Seriously.
hey, has any one gotten both child and teen and dropped them in the same town? I would want to see how they would work in the same town not near each other necessarily but still the same town. I unfortunately can’t do this my self because I don’t have and am not likely to get sims3 in the near future.
I didn’t have both teen and child placed into my neighborhood, i just placed the child version. While alice was trying to find a place to sleep and eat during the weekend she found out she had a new neighbor….herself. I found it fascinating how the house that had been empty now contained a copy of the bin diver family. Alice went ahead and chose to ignore the duplicates and sleep in their bed, while I watched the other 2 interact. They seemed to actually enjoy eachothers company. later I edited the neighborhood and got rid of them though. Having 2 of the same exact family (living next to eachother to boot) was just way too wierd for me.
I downloaded child Alive and Kev, installed them correctly, but my Sims 3 won’t load up anymore! It gets not even a quarter up the loading bar then just closes. If I uninstall them the game works fine again, weird. Shame, I really wanted to use them!
I loaded up Kev & Alice- she had a breakdown, a day of crying, almost right away. But she made a friend in the nearby lot. Kev is really godo at inviting himself in places, so his mood bar remains pretty good. I’m wondering at the level of involvement? Do you sit back and watch or intervene? How much do you do both? She got one of her wishes fulfilled- to hang out with Kev- when his mood bar was high, but then he was sent plummeting because he had a child interaction. I’m in the Sunset Valley and they’re basically living at the public swimming pool.
I downloaded this family and in one RL night. Alice grew up to be a pretty young adult and she just married a sim i made named Alex Vanderson. Uploaded photos from the wedding(just of the first kiss as husband & wife). Her dad grew old and passed away a day after the wedding.

Is it possible to have the sims play out their lives while I am web surfing? If I go out of the game to get on the web, when I go back, they’re right where they were. How can I go onto the net and surf and still have them progressing in the background?
The old Sims and Sims 2 had a “Sim while Minimized option” that would let you do that. I’ve never used it though. It would be in your Options tabs.
My alice is happily married to billy caspian. they have 3 boys, and another child on the way. Billy’s son died in an electrical fire 😦 but just wanted to let all know that my alice is happy 😀 good luck wit your alices’. ty for allowin the download btw
Hi! I’m a big fan of this blog, it’s really a great story! I downloaded Alice and Kev, and on the first night they got robbed! The burglar stole Alice’s teddy bear. So sad 😦

I find it entertaining how seriously every one takes this, as if there are some sort of rules as to how you have to play Alice and Kev.
I downloaded them with the child version of Alice. Surprisingly, Kev is actually a fairly decent father. At least a major improvement compared to the blog one. He pretty much just ignores Alice, and doesn’t bug her the rare times they interact. And he didn’t complain when I made him get up in the middle of the night to buy Alice potatoes.
Funny- Kev got into gardening (was stealing food at community garden, then that expanded, with a bit of help from me, ha!) and now Alice married a grammar school sweetheart who turns out to be wealthy. She just plays catch all day and fishes. Making up for a lost childhood.
A few days after placing them into my town, they were doing very well. Kev got a job at the local bistro as a Line Cook. He also adopted a child (I don’t know why, as he dislikes children. He and Alice both live in a beautifully decorated house built to keep the park’s pond. The own everything they need to live, but there is no crib for their baby. 😦
Later, I saw Kev driving home in his new, expensive car, hinting he probably has plenty of money. Their future is looking quite promising, living the life of luxury.
I will also start a game with them, trying to make the rest of their lives a success.

I downloaded the teenage version of the family. After fighting to keep Alice happy for a few days, I suddenly remembered that the gym had showers and toilets. I also had Alice plant a garden and only let her harvest, because I’m mean that way. Well anyways, Kev now lives in the Crumplebottom household where he has another daughter. Alice is married to Parker Langerak and has a son. They live in the park, but they “bought” it and cleaned it up…added a small two-story house and they’re doing okay. I still don’t know why she randomly cries all the time. I can’t get her to stop, its annoying.
I believe the crying is due to her character trait for being a loser.
I’ve tried to play alice and kev a few different ways. I first tried to play them myself…it was in sunset valley and they started living in the 28 hour wellness gym for the most part. I felt the difficulty was gone so i decided to make a new family and play them in riverview. I had placed alice and kev in their original location and without realizing moved my new family in across the street. I couldn’t bare to watch alice suffer from even a distance so my female sim started to take care of her, inviting her over after school and always having a fresh meal on the counter when she arrived. Without any interaction between the two they became best friends, but then alice became a teen and my sim had a child and things went down hill from there. I tried a new way this time without interfering with alice and kev so much just to see what would happen. My sims went on with their lives not knowing about the homeless family but my oldest son met alice and eventually married her. I just can’t seem to keep from trying to “save” alice i guess.
I think this is very interesting, I think Im going to change some of Alice’s traits thou, just to mix it up. Maybe maker her or her dad klepto’s, makes it more interesting for someone who has nothing. I would also like to atlest build a little restroom for the both of them, does anyone remember if they can sponge bath from sinks in 3? I’ll find out when I play them. I would also like to make my own homeless family just so they have someone else feel the same as they do. Maybe a mother son homeless family.

I’m another who downloaded Kev and Alice with a compulsion to try and rescue her. I set myself my own challenge of doing so without ever actually controlling her — just by seeing what a friendly face who always welcomes her over could do. The hardest part was in the beginning — she wouldn’t ever come over when invited until we were friends, and apparently it takes a long while to become friends with someone who’s miserable when you’re doing the courting on a weed-choked abandoned lot with her father off to the side cursing at you. Eventually, though, it got where I could invite her over most evenings and all day on the weekends. I’d always make sure to serve plentiful yummy food, lots of entertainment, and would make sure to give her a tutoring session each time too. The biggest problem was what to do about her tiredness — I never found a way to get her to sleep, though she was obviously tired.
Once she became a teenager, it was much easier — I “cure” her fatigue once a day with my moodlet manager. If only those existed in real life!
i’m probably going to download them once i get the sims 3, but I may not. I’m scared he may take one of my character’s wife or something. lol.
I downloaded them and put them as neighbors to my active family. I immediately let the child in my house befriend her. Now they are both teens and they’re dating 🙂 Alice as a teen wears her hair in a bun and this long skirt, she looks really different! She definitely got a job because I used to invite her over every night but lately when i call she says she’s busy and to call back in 23 hours. I’m going to have to make Kev and Alice the active household and see if maybe Kev got a job too or just Alice.
I’m planning on getting my sim to propose to her as soon as they are both young adults! My sim has the insane trait but he’s also good so I’ll make sure Alice is treated right. Yeah, I feel bad for a bunch of pixels 😛 so sue me. As soon as I put them in the lot Alice started crying so of course I had to do something to help her. 🙂
I think it’ll be nice to merge my family (i’m on the third generation) with Alice! I may be tempted to move Kev in with Alice just to see how that goes.
I’ve been following this story for a few days and have gotten really interested. I just downloaded Alice and Kev today and decided to create a nice woman named AnneMarie Bennett and she’s befriended Alice (though not so much Kev) and has been inviting her over for meals and dropping off food to them. Alice is already a teenager and is doing alright thanks to help from Anne Marie.

I downloaded child Alice and Kev. While Alice was still a teenager, Kev “had a bad day” and the grim reaper showed up. Surprisingly (to me, at least) they let me still play with Alice. She got a part-time job, and then I had her change into a full-time one as she grew into a young adult. Since she had the life-long goal of having 5 kids, I figured that might be good. She has a boyfriend, who she now has 3 kids with. I’m not sure how long she’s gonna last though, honestly, as she barely has enough money to have a toilet and cribs on the lot. (the repoman came and took the benches and table awhile ago) She’s driven crazy trying to take care of the kids all on her own, as her boyfriend leaves after a short while. We’ll see.

I downloaded Alice and Kev to be npcs, to find that Kev mysteriously disappeared, and Alice had a daughter who is now one of my Sims best friends.
I downloaded the child Alice and Kev, not using cheats but I did create a community lot that I titled “Homeless Shelter” so that Alice has a slight chance at getting some sleep and showering. Food is still an issue but I’m trying to have Kev swim enough to up his athletic skill so that he’ll be promoted in the crime career so that they’ll make more money.
Currently installing it, now I can experience the lives of Alice and Kev, thanks. (:
Just put Alice and Kev in a random lot as NPCs. No idea what happened to Kev, but Alice befriended the kids in my family and came over a couple times. She’s worked at the cemetery from high school til retirement, and eventually had a daughter named Venus Bin Diver with a man named Wade Alto (boyfriend, not husband). She (an elder now) and her daughter still live on the same “abandoned” lot.
I downloaded Alice and Kev about 10 days ago. I put them in the only lot that they could afford, way outside of everyone else in the town. I had not run into them yet.
My Sim Libby needed to do some interviews for work. She wandered across the park, and to a house with the surname Yen, and who should answer the door but Kev, with baby Lawrence Bin Diver on the floor, and Alice sitting at the dining table doing homework….
I downloaded them and am using them as NPCs, they do act homeless and it’s very interesting seeing them around town. My character spoke to Alice (who is a teenager) and she had a part-time job at the spa. They’re in the weirdest places at night time, like the hospital cheering the pregnant mothers in. That was a sight.
I created my own Alice and Kev in Sims 2. Because I have Seasons installed, it starts in winter. Kev froze to death at the end of the Winter. I’m not sure when exactly, they never let me know. Alice did not do well at school because she would freeze stiff when the bus arrived and was unable to board to go to school. She found scraps and put together a make shift fire place. She made friends with passerbys. Kev had a savings somewhere and she had enough money to put a shower in the bathroom stall of their park. She has been quite happy since then. That is where we are. Her dream is to be accepted into Private School, so who knows?
I downloaded teenage Alice and Kev and moved them into a lot outside of town. I haven’t played their lot but i check on them every now and then. Well idk how but Kev has another daughter named Mariela but idk who her mom is or when she got there. She was just laying on the floor. Ugh you would think since Kev doesn’t like kids he wouldn’t have anymore…and more importantly why isn’t Mariela with her mother?
Nevermind he probably adopted Mariela…but why in the world would he adopt a child if he dislikes children…is it cause he is insane?
I downloaded Alice and Kev and decided to see how they’d function if their lives were “perfect”; i.e., they had a nice house, food on the table, and perfect work/school performances.
I did not use any cheats; I got Kev a job in the Business career track, as this was one of his first wants. The Business career track requires no skill building, so I just paid attention to boss/coworkers/meetings and had Kev work on whatever needed improvement. At first, I had Kev and Alice hang out at the gym for the bathrooms and free fridge. I sold all the bushes on their lot to afford two beds, and they returned to the lot each night to sleep. As Kev got promoted and brought in more money, I slowly bought them essential items on a barebones lot. Then I added walls, then doors, then floors, et cetera, until they had what amounted to a small studio apartment.
For fun, Alice and Kev often played tag. This resulted in a perfect relationship between them, despite the fact that Kev’s “Dislikes Children” trait still causes him to order her out of the room whenever they are together.
Somehow, Kev has gotten promoted to Chairman of the Board, or level 9 of the Business career track. With all the corruption and insanity that has come out in the financial sector (or at least the American financial center), this is not all that shocking. I can totally see the economic meltdown being Kev’s fault, or someone like Kev….
Kev continually has a wish to get demoted (he can’t handle the pressure!) or to quit his job, despite how much easier his life has become because of it. He still talks to himself. Sometimes he goes outside and kicks the trash can over for no reason. He routinely wears his swimsuit to bed, workout clothes to work, and work clothes to the gym.
Despite having a lovely home, perfect grades, lots of friends, and “BFF”s with her father, Alice spontaneously cries at least once a day. She routinely breaks things in the house and has embarrassing moments happen to her at school.
So, in short, it seems that even if Alice and Kev had a good relationship and lots of money, their personality traits still prevent them from being completely happy.
I downloaded both and made Alice grow up to be a young adult. Alice and Kev now live with my version of Zedadias. (Yes, Zed and Alice are married and are going to have a child/children!)I know they’re not homeless anymore, but Alice wants to have 5 children, and some of them might live outside.
If it’s not asking too much could you upload a copy of Zedadias? He seems really cool but I haven’t found him in my game. I love the story, thanks for posting it!

I downloaded them, and used them as NPCs in my town. Almost immediately, when one of my main characters was out jogging, Kev ambushed her, and started a fight, as she was running by their plot. She’s now declared Kev an enemy, and keeps having a desire to be mean to Kev. What’s really weird is she’s got good and friendly traits too. Guess Kev just brings out the worst in people. 🙂
Hi! I just wanted to say that i also downloaded teen Alice and Kev. I’ve been playing in Riverview with the Lessen family, the guy who is a rockstar. He adopted 2 sons before I got to playing his family and he had since married a sim I made. It’s this family that have gotten involved straight away with the Bin Diver’s.
Well, one of the teenage sons had taken a liking to Alice right away. I was surprised about that, cuz I’ve been having him chat up all the girls in the neighborhood and none of them triggered any wishes like flirt or chat with this girl. But right when he and Alice got to friends status, he immediately wanted to kiss her! I was impressed so I made this wish come true. I did note he was slightly disgusted by Alice’s smell but after he kissed her, this disgusted moodlet went away hehe.
Since then he’s been getting wishes to chat Alice, hug Alice, kiss Alice, so I invited her over to his house during the weekend. The mom made eggs machveilian and I made sure Alice got to eat. The son now wants to cuddle Alice. I’m still amazed at how much he likes her cuz of all the sims I’ve played, this is the first time I’ve seen a sim so into their romantic interest. So I’m thinking about making them go steady, but I’m not keen on having Alice move in. I want her to get a part-time job after school and work her way up somehow.
The interesting thing is that the Lessen family have all been inclined to be nice to Alice. The mom wants to introduce herself and the dad plays music for her. The brother wants to be friends too. In this regard, I don’t think Alice’s Loser trait is effecting her likability. Her goodness is strong I guess. 🙂

Well, it turns out that Kev is the head of the evil organization is my game of the Sims.
I think I laughed for a good five minutes.

Omg. o-o Kev just got arrested a while ago in my game. I’m playing with them right now. xD It’s like, 3:21AM. I’m getting tired now that I mention it. </3 Alice is playing with Anita right now, and Kev is at the gym talking to some lady. o_o
I downloaded child Alice and Kev, and put them in as NPCs, as soon as I started the game. The Sim I play (a young adult), befriended Alice, and invited her to birthday parties for her own babies/toddlers, who have since grown into children and teens. Alice spent a lot of time at their house as a child, and I even gave her basically her own room in my Sims’ house. She would use that when she came over, and she occasionally invited my kids over to her lot, which is where they have met Kev. Kev basically grumbles a lot and kicks around the trash can, and appears to make fun of Alice, though I can’t see exactly what’s going on between them. He’s not been mean to any of my kids, as far as I can tell. It seems that Kev does have a job (I always see him wearing some type of uniform, though I don’t recognize it), and he’s had another child- a toddler named Janis. After Alice aged to a teen, she brought the toddler to my Sims’ house, and it appears that the toddler is not walking/talking/potty trained, though she’s been in the game for a while.
Alice is still friends with the kids in my family, and is close with the oldest, who is now also a teen (he’s a boy). I haven’t pushed any romance between them, but he has asked her to spend the night a few times- and unlike when she was a child, she’ll stay, but she won’t sleep. She’ll put her sister down in one of the empty cribs to sleep, but she stays up all night, watching TV, playing video games and using the pool, although she’s clearly been invited to stay, and there are multiple empty rooms/beds. She does the same thing whether or not she has her sister with her. I haven’t had any other teens invited over to stay yet, so I don’t know if that’s the normal behavior, but it seemed pretty interesting!

I got my teenager Alice a job, and bought some seeds. Every day she would go to work, and then she’d come home and work on her garden and then go to bed. She donated to charity every other day, and sold about half of her produce every week, and split the remainder between her and kev so they could eat. I also made Kev fish during the day for a few hours, and sold what he caught. Eventually, I had saved up enough money and built them a house, and was able to expand it to a 2 bedroom, one bath, they had a living room and a kitchen also. It was actually a very nice place after i put some work into it. Then after Alice grew up and Kev died, she got the hots for Mortimer Goth. I thought, “what the heck”, so they got hitched. Yes, I did not have them in Riverview. But that’s how my game turned out… now Kev is gone, Alice is gone, but her Grandkids are doing quite well. I was rather dissapointed and depressed when I read her obituary in the paper, but hey, sims tend to die.
Alice and Kev have been running alongside my currently active family. The game provided what I thought were appropriately helpful prompts, like, “Make a batch of your best food for Alice.”
However, whether this was the game or not, a baby appeared on the lot. Without a crib, it just lied on the grass. At one point while I watched, Kev picked the baby up, but he didn’t seem that attached. And miraculously (unless the game always does this for inactive-lot babies) the baby is now a toddler.
Help! No matter how hard I try it never accepts my code!!! Why? I’ve never used it, and nobody else has.
I know this question has been asked a billion times before, but could you upload a copy of Zedadias? Or maybe list his personalities traits and etc.?
Zed is the neighbor who has the most patience with this homeless duo, so it would be great to have someone in the neighborhood who took pity on them! (And I want Zed and Alice to get together!)
So this is really cool, but i want to make my own so how do you remove their remaining money?

I downloaded Alice and Kev. (Alice is a child.) Right now, they’re in a homeless shelter. It’s a community place. o-o Kev is taking a shower. Aha. ❤ Alice is so happy. She and Kev haven't communicated at all yet. They only have 4 simoleons. D: I REFUSE to use any cheats. I'm training myself. Aha. I want this to be fun. ❤

I downloaded and uses child Alice and Kev and put them as NPC’s in my version of riverwiev. I played on and mostly forgot I had put them in there, until one evening when my sim was sitting outside playing chess, I saw Alice come into my garden, stealing room on a bench to sleep.
Also she took some food from the meal that my sim had made earlier that was still standing outside, and although I had promised myself not to interact with them, my sim decided to talk to her on her own, something that resulted in Alice coming over again during the weekend, without any interaction from me.
Still waiting to see if she will come over more, as my sim seems to enjoy having the girl around.
I know this is really weird, but when I made my version of Zedadias before you posted it, I made him almost EXACTLY like yours! His last name is WickER, I gave him the same everyday wear shape, and I gave him Good, Childish, and Vegetarian traits like you did. I didn’t even know! I just made most of it up!
Awesome idea. I think my main character will take in Alice,(lord knows he can support more than just himself with HIS salary :S) then magically summon a wall that completey ensares Kev, if he tries to come and visit.
It’s the Sims equivalent of homicide. Yaaaaaaaaaay.

I downloaded Teenage Alice and Kev and Managed to get Alice to marry my sim. Later on when I visited Alice’s old home. I saw Kev holding a Baby. His own son, who is Alice’s brother…..

zeds house is already in riverview, you don’t need to download it. if you can find the grandpas house its close to there it has a grey roof and a rock pathway outfront. (alice lives at 451 riverside and its just across the street to that empty lot if you find it)
Kev went the the Grandpas house and… Well.. Let’s just say I made him “Destroy the house” by taking away all the phones from it and Fire Alarms. I guess it was the Grandpas time to move on. Whose Next? Maybe that Shirley girl.. Eh?
Oh yeah, Alice bearly cried when Kev never “came back”. The reaper pointed at Kev and laughed at him ^^
How come my version of alice and kev dont do anything? kev just talks to him self and occasionally kicks over his own trash can. alice just sleeps and never does her home work. kev died cause he did not go find food. why wont my characters make decisions like go to a friends house? even if i told them to go to a friends house they just stand outside. i thought they were supposed to make their own decisions. and yes my free will was on max.

Hey i downloaded alice and kev as kev an adult and alice a teenager. her and my son on the game are high school sweethearts and they are both one day away from becoming young adults. hopefully he would want to marry her.
I change Alice’s story all the time. This time, Zedadias and Alice’s children, Delilah and Katie, were extremely exhausted from living on those benches. Delilah discovered that Zed’s old house was unlocked, so she and Katie broke in and slept in the beds. Zedadias came to join them. I hope they don’t get arrested!
Just downloaded the up-to-story characters (thank you so much for making Zedadias available too, by the way) and took some time to look around and try and figure out what’s been going on in their lives outside of the story.
I find it a bit disturbing that there’s a piece of raw meat on the ground, next to Puff <_<;

HELP !!! I am a Sim Head, a Sim Junkie, a Simaholic, got the Sims 3 , Brought memory so I could run it, brought a new graphics card ASUS 256MB DDR@ PCI 2.0
EN8400GS Silent DirectX 10 and it keeps crashing . I am having a melt down !!!!!! 😦 Could some one suggest what I should do next, Uh sound card or what ever it takes before they put me in a straight jacket !! I wanna play my game ( stomping feet and pouting, with arms folded!! )
A common culprit for a problem with a new game is the graphics drivers. Check you have the latest drivers for your graphics card from the website of the company that made it.
If that doesn’t help, I suggest contacting EA support.
I tried a whole buncha things… Made Zed and Kev get married. Made Alice and Zed get married. Made Alice attack Kev a lot. Had Zed get burned alive. Fun times.

Yeah I changed Alice’s unlucky trait with a cheat – it was buggin me like heck.
OMG everyone’s Kevs are dying 0.0
I downloaded them(teenage Alice), and for some reason Kev had 30,000 lifetime happiness points (and like 9 steaks) so I changed his traits so he was nice and really smart. Then I got him a job(buisiness). I used a cheat to change Alice’s traits and I had them both work on their skills. Eventually Kev started getting a lot of money from his job so I moved them into a small house and redid their wardrobes (I figure they could afford new clothes). They are now very happy.
I sort of feel guilty for using a cheat though 😉

Do the only show up in Riverview? I’ve been playing Sunset Valley and I just downloaded Alice and Kev but I don’t see their lot in my sim bin.
It might be that you haven’t installed them from the ‘downloads’ tab on The Sims 3 launcher.
I love this website beyond all reason! I downloaded teenage Alice and Adult Kev. Kev *ahem* died in an unfortunate pool accident at the Riverview Gym and I am happy to say that Alice is doing just fine! She has a nice little cottage and is currently in the Science Career (after graduating from high school while on the honor roll).

I am going to try and download adult alice and use cheat codes and things to make her life happy. I’ll try and get her an husband and child and things because she rea11y does deserve it,
Alice got taken away by child services. Kev died, Alice ended up in a bad family inturn lowered her grades , eventually forcing her to drop out and its still going downhill from there.
I downloaded child Alice & Kev and Kev got married (then divorced) but Alice lived with her step mom until she got married and moved out. Then she adopted kids and they grew up. Alice’s daughter, Casey, is grown up and has kids of her own. She also takes care of Alice’s stepbrother who is a teenager. Casey got married and divorced and now lives with Alice, her sisters, her father, and her kids in a huge house.

I downloaded the young adult Alice. She is living in a nice, little house, flirting with a cop named “Hank”(who is also in a relationship with a pauline wan :o), working as a gene therapist and has developed athletic, logic and cooking skills. I think she is happy 🙂 I also placed Kev’s grave outside her house, and sometimes at night his ghost is walking around in her house, watching tv and listening to music. AND HE HAS STOLEN SEVERAL THINGS FROM HER HOUSE. Seriously?! Can ghosts steal?!

I came across this site about a year ago when the newest entry was her getting a hug from Zedadias. Found it again yesterday and read the rest of it. Great story.
I thought they’d make a fun addition to my town (Sunset Valley), so I downloaded teen Alice and Kev. When I first placed the lot I was still playing another family, so I just zoomed in and watched how Alice and Kev would act once placed in the game. Right away they got into an argument!
Interestingly, Alice ended up befriending the daughter in the household I was playing (Rachael). She came over once, she seemed to be in a good mood overall. Had a good time.
I then decided to play Alice and Kev for a while and see what that was like. Apparently while I was playing my other family, Kev had got himself a job as a criminal, so they actually had some income.
The first night I played them someone robbed their lot and took the teddy. Talk about never getting a break.
They’re fun to play. Keeping them fed is easy, since Kev has a job they can afford to buy fruit from the store to eat. It’s also easy to keep them clean and from their bladders exploding, since the public pool has showers and toilets. It also has picnic baskets setup during the day so they can get a “good” meal once in a while. The biggest challenge for me is getting them rested. It takes many bench maps to get the bar full, and it’s not until the weekend that there’s enough time to do that.
Since Kev is insane, he can talk to himself to bring his mood up quickly. Alice is a bit harder, since the books are slow to boost the mood.
Kev almost got fired from work because of his exhaustion, but he’s doing a bit better now, he even managed to get to career level 2. They’ve got about $1,500 now. Since they earned it the good old fashioned way, I may consider buying them a small home (like that trailer) when they earn enough. Alice’s grades are actually pretty good, she has a B and gets her homework done most of the time.
Alice has one friend, Rachael. Kev has none. I was going to have him becomes friends with Rachael’s father, who is also insane, but I wanted to see the two of them duke it out…they’re currently disliked by each other. Alice and Kev are still enemies, although one night while they were sitting on the bench they chatted and improved their relationship a bit. They both have the wish to become friends.
Just thought I’d share my experiences with them. Thanks for making them available to play!

Why did you have to have these characters uploaded on “The Exchange” instead of another site where you can add custom sims content? This means I can’t download these.
I’m one of the few unlucky people who has NEVER gotten his Sims3 launcher to work. Whenever I click on it: “Sims3Launcher has stopped working” error. No matter what I do, I still get this error.
Would it be too much to ask for a mirror of the files? To where they can be downloaded and installed like other custom content, without the launcher? (Like how they do at Modthesims.com, where you go into and install to Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/SavedSims)

I downloaded the game from the start, by day 2 the teddy was stolen, i tried having kev call the police but they showed up late then fined me $500, meaning the took a bench. Kev got a job as a criminal but before his first day of work (4 days into the game) Kev died of starvation. Woopsy… Maybe I should start over….

I downloaded the lot with Alice and Kev, but can’t place it in my game because there’s no vacant lots for $1,200. I know this comment is waaaay past the time of your excellent story, but if anyone’s looking and have managed to place the lot in their Riverview game, could you possibly say which lot address it is, so that I can demolish or move what’s there in order to place Alice and Kev’s lot?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I would love to watch an unassisted storyline progression in my own game.
