Easier to Beg Forgiveness?

When Kev notices and acknowledges Yvette’s presence, she explodes in anger at him.

In the face of her verbal onslaught, he breaks down and confesses everything to her. Which I don’t think was entirely needed, considering she had just watched the entire thing.

While Yvette freaks out, Kev seems horribly guilt-stricken.

But it’s alright. Kev has a plan. Kev knows how he can fix this.

Next: Consequences

    That’s classic comedy😀

  2. 3 Requienna June 24, 2009 at 11:01 am

Aaargh, I want to know if she says yes…
What a weird story, it’s great fun reading it! Incredibly good!

    • 4 sims3 addict June 24, 2009 at 9:39 pm

how do you make your sims homeless?

      • 5 ShaRoo June 24, 2009 at 11:10 pm

You can’t really. They must have a ‘lot’ to live on, you just simply buy an empty lot, and decorate it like a park (in this author’s version), or whatever you like. While adult sims can stay out, perhaps indefinitely, from home, children have to be back at ‘home’ by their curfew or the police will come and bring them there.

I did a similar adventure with two sims in my game, inspired by this wonderfully written story. It isn’t very hard to keep them fairly happy without the modern necessities of home, as you can grow plants for food, and steal fruit and vegetables from your neighbors (The Grandpa’s house in RiverView has a garden that produces fruits and veggies each day). But it is the genius of the writer that makes this story so fun to read. The idea is novel and very fun to experience with yourself in charge, but this story simply adds the spice of life.

  3. 6 AARGH June 24, 2009 at 11:03 am

Wait, I thought Kev was poor. Hmmph. Interesting to see how this will turn out.

  4. 15 Pomme June 24, 2009 at 11:07 am

I love this, it is just like reading a story.

And i think thats a bit of an odd way to try and fix it after what he just did. =w=”

    • 16 Katie Cunningham June 24, 2009 at 4:40 pm

Are you kidding? That’s how a good chunk of men get engaged.

“Baby, I’m sorry! Here’s a chunk of carbon and a binding social contract that says so!”

      • 17 Algernon June 24, 2009 at 5:46 pm

I’m sorry, you are incorrect. Instead of “good chunk” that should read “small chunk.”

Kate, unless you are an adolescent, you should know by now that a good chunk of guys are commitment impaired, at least when it comes to relationships. Most men are not going to try to solve an argument or fix an emotional wound by proposing marriage. Flowers and/or chocolates maybe, but a chunk of carbon that cost him at least a month’s salary and a lifetime commitment… I think not.

This only happens when there is a bun in the oven, like when my bro told his gf, “I don’t love you, but if you want me to, I’ll marry you.”

      • 18 Tom June 24, 2009 at 6:45 pm

        Wow chivalry is really dead!

      • 19 Veedimples June 24, 2009 at 8:26 pm

What a why to put it !!!!!!!!!!!!! ha hahaha

      • 20 ArmouredKin June 24, 2009 at 11:08 pm

I’m…I’m more than a little concerned about the attitudes towards relationships (and men!) presented here. I hope to whoever might be listening that you’re all under twenty. The alternative is deeply uncomfortable.

  5. 21 Lars June 24, 2009 at 11:07 am

This is excellent, Kev is really making everyone’s lives so much more interesting! Can’t he find some ones abandoned matress for his daughter to sleep on though?

  6. 22 Tyler June 24, 2009 at 11:08 am

“I’m sorry for trying to seduce your daughter after convincing you to leave your husband for me. Let’s get hitched.”

  7. 24 Rico June 24, 2009 at 11:12 am

hold your phones right now, if she says yes I am going to…. well you know….. actually I am very tired so I don’t know, but like the person above I hope she is realizing the mistake she is making, it would be cool if the husb cam back and kicked him out again….

  8. 29 Samantha June 24, 2009 at 11:22 am

if he does this then his dream of 5 girlfriends could be slightly more difficult. He’ll probably try to get with the daughter again later when Yvette isn’t looking. If they do get married though it could mean the end of being homeless for Alice and Kev…and for the story’s sake I think thats a bad idea.

    • 30 Jules June 24, 2009 at 2:29 pm

but maybe, just maybe, Alice’s birthday is coming up, so when she becomes a young adult she will finally be rid of her insane excuse for a father!

      • 31 Dana June 24, 2009 at 8:17 pm

I agree.. although in my game, my main sim just met Alice’s dad at the park.. and since my sim is my first generation legacy sim with the same Aaron, and Alice is, so far, the only sim I’ve seen with an A name… he’s trying to make friends with her… she still a child in my game, but soon to be a teen like Aaron. We’ll see where that goes.

I just wish we could get more then a few minutes of play time to read each day.

  9. 32 foxyacademic June 24, 2009 at 11:24 am

I love the foregrounding of the chess board in these photos. Kev & Yvette’s whirlwind love affair: undoubtedly a chess match between love and utter madness.

  10. 33 Nithya June 24, 2009 at 11:28 am

Nooo, how can you leave us on such a cliffhanger? I hope you realise just how much this blog is kicking Hollyoaks’ ass right now. I’m getting so addicted.

  11. 35 Steph June 24, 2009 at 11:33 am

NO WAY!! i can’t wait to hear what she says (if it’s yes then she deserves him because she’s obviously nuts)
    I love this storyline it’s just brilliant🙂

  12. 36 Rupert June 24, 2009 at 11:37 am

I’m not seeing any pockets on those trousers. Where the hell did he pull that ring from?o_O

    • 37 abi June 24, 2009 at 5:39 pm

that’s the thing about the sims, a lot of stuff just magically appears out of nowhere. like, you go to get your car, and the Sim just shakes their keys and magically gets into the car. lots of funny stuff like that😛

    • 38 gmcfly June 24, 2009 at 5:54 pm

      An orifice?

  13. 40 Mazil June 24, 2009 at 11:41 am

Ahaha… that made me burst out laughing. I actually don’t frequently laugh (out loud) for things on the internet, but that was so unexpected!

  14. 42 Dani Gohin June 24, 2009 at 11:43 am

    wow! what a cliff hanger!
surely she wont say yes. I mean he is horrible. Mind you, she kissed him in the first place didn’t she.

    what’s happened to Alice?

  15. 43 Afello June 24, 2009 at 11:52 am

I must say that I am not entirely sure that what’s in that box will even look slightly like a wedding ring. It’s probably made from leaves, bugs and things you find in a trashcan…

    • 44 Erica June 24, 2009 at 1:48 pm

Hey you can find diamonds in those trashcans! Maybe Kev goes to the trash cans of “fancy rich folks”😛

And I adore this blog…check it every morning. Keep up the awesome work!😀

  16. 45 Jane June 24, 2009 at 11:53 am

Just love it.. also how everyone here is reacting as if it is real lol… fantastic stuff….

As for previous comments by some people that this is not very good… this is wonderful art, it is lifting peoples spirits in this down trodden time.. and geesh this person has real talent!!

Keep up the great work.. now why do I have to wait till tomorrow to see what happens lol

    • 46 Don June 24, 2009 at 11:56 am

ive noticed that too… some people seem to be taking this WAY too seriously. However, now the comments are starting to get almost as entertaining as the blog itself.

      almost.

      • 47 Shelly June 24, 2009 at 6:30 pm

        haha i second that.
and it really ticks me off when people ask “you know this isnt real right? or dude it’s all fake” it makes me want to slap them.

      • 48 Kristen June 24, 2009 at 6:44 pm

I third that opinion, it is just a story for your entertainment so just enjoy it!
Love the story keep the interesting parts coming because all I do all day is wait for my copy of The Sims 3 to come in the mail!

  17. 49 jakehh June 24, 2009 at 12:07 pm

    Oh, that’d be right.

  18. 50 melaniem June 24, 2009 at 12:16 pm

In the 3rd pic, it looks as though she’s comforting HIM – I think she may also have some insanity in her, judging by her actions!

  19. 51 chlo June 24, 2009 at 12:22 pm

please play the sims more… i need more of this… so much more

  20. 52 Reelix June 24, 2009 at 12:36 pm

I like how he just tried to kiss the daughter, and she’s smiling in the first frame🙂

  21. 54 A-Sha June 24, 2009 at 12:42 pm

I love the last screenshot. Her jaw’s wide opened.

    -inserts loud gasps-

xD Can’t wait to see how she reacts to it. Plus, the daughter’s still in the same room I supposed. Holy~

  22. 56 2000may23 June 24, 2009 at 12:48 pm

    jackie,

no in the sims2 and 3 its free to get married

  23. 57 Jeff June 24, 2009 at 12:51 pm

    Oh, lord…

Sad thing is, I bet this EXACT situation has been played out in real life more than once.

  24. 58 Steph Y. June 24, 2009 at 1:00 pm

Uh oh.. if I know my SIMS gameplay at all.. I don’t think this is going to end up very happy..

This is so great, you are doing such a great job. I have to admit, I check this site every morning for an update😛

  25. 59 isnessie June 24, 2009 at 1:07 pm

Oh god that’s hilarious – I can just see the logic of his thinking: “Okay, I messed up… I tried to make out with your daughter… In front of you… Er… Will you marry me?”

  26. 60 robochaves June 24, 2009 at 1:16 pm

Simply amazing. This is the best show since the original Lost.
Ok, ok, but you get the point. Entertaining and packed with mistery and surprises🙂

  27. 61 Kemi June 24, 2009 at 1:22 pm

these updates are way to too short.

you always leave me wanting moar.

  28. 62 'TosaiJoe June 24, 2009 at 1:31 pm

I’ve got a bet going with some friends that the next post will be about Alice… and over whether or not…er… *checks* Yvette… will say yes! Good stuff, especially how the daughter is smiling so evilly at Kev.

Has anyone else noticed that Yvette seems to wear a nightgown all the time?

  29. 64 nancymarie June 24, 2009 at 1:39 pm

Whatever happens, Alice will be left out in the cold.

  30. 65 soren121 June 24, 2009 at 1:55 pm

Where did Kev get a ring?

  31. 66 GerandLer June 24, 2009 at 2:00 pm

Yeah, where is Alice during all of this?

  32. 67 HAB June 24, 2009 at 2:07 pm

Kev, you have dug yourself into a very deep hole. I don’t think she’s going to bring the ladder when you propose.

P.S. You can see a chess table in the second shot. It looks so wierd.

  33. 68 Mythos June 24, 2009 at 2:28 pm

Oh, that’s cruel. Leaving us hanging like there. What a cliffhanger.

  34. 69 Livvi June 24, 2009 at 2:31 pm

Ohhhh SNAP. If she says yes, this is gonna get crazy.

But if she does, his 10 girlfriends thing could be pretty difficult.

And Earth to loser of a father, tell your daughter that she can sleep in a house and shower now, will ya?!

  35. 70 Grim June 24, 2009 at 2:37 pm

I’m hooked!!! Can’t wait for tomorrow!

  36. 71 GothPoet June 24, 2009 at 2:42 pm

I like how the daughter is smiling in the first panel when Kev gets busted by Yvette.

  37. 72 WickedPinkLemon June 24, 2009 at 2:45 pm

For the people who comment about others “taking this way too seriously”, maybe you need to find something else to read.
Stop being a buzzkill. If people find it entertaining to get that involved, it’s not hurting you, and it’s their business.

I personally would not describe myself as hooked or emotionally involved, but it is definitely something like a great book and VERY enjoyable to read.

This is a great story, and the cliffhanging stretches it out and keeps it interesting. Keep it up.

  38. 73 Ceissa Desiste June 24, 2009 at 2:57 pm

This story gets better every day! I love how Kev thinks proposing is going to fix everything. Seems the Sims lives are more realistic than we ever could have imagined. I know quite a few guys that think just like Kev. I can’t wait to see what her answer will be!

  39. 74 Chopsuzy June 24, 2009 at 3:26 pm

I was recommended by a friend to this site, and I am shocked at how funny it is😀 Thanks very much, gives me something to do at work😀

and say Yes Yvette, cos the breakup should be funny afterwards ha ha

  40. 75 Andrew June 24, 2009 at 3:27 pm

…What? God, this thing is just getting weirder and weirder. And the funniest thing of all, I’m reading this post while listening to Buddy Holly’s “It’s So Easy To Fall In Love”. haha.

But what’s going on with Alice?

  41. 76 Laur June 24, 2009 at 3:30 pm

She might say yes because, remember, she did kick out her husband for Kev. She must have the insane trait, too. Amazing story, Robin. Keep up the wonderful works of art you are posting!

    8D

    [O_O]

  42. 77 BrainNoMore June 24, 2009 at 3:31 pm

I’m hooked. I don’t understand one thing, what Yvette see in Kev that would make her mess up her marriage. Could you give us Yvette’s traits?

  43. 78 Paige June 24, 2009 at 3:31 pm

    A. How did he get a ring?

    B. Does Yvette know he has a daughter?

    • 79 Amber June 24, 2009 at 5:22 pm

      About the ring…

In the Sims 2, when my person proposed to a man, SHE (yes, I had to make the girl propose as the man would not commit) pulled a ring out of virtually no where. She had no money, gave no indication she had it, yet *POOF*! Diamond ring. I assume same thing happens in the Sims 3?

  44. 80 Scarlett June 24, 2009 at 3:45 pm

I love the daughter’s expression in this first picture.

  45. 81 Moneer June 24, 2009 at 4:03 pm

Great cliff hanger, love the story, its a great view of the possibilities in The Sims 3.

Also, you guys dont need to get so worked up about Kev not fufilling his lifetime wish if she saids yes… hes an elder now so it would be really really hard for him to even get close.

  46. 82 Amy B June 24, 2009 at 4:11 pm

I like the way the daughter is smiling while Kev gets an ear-bashing in the first pic…

  47. 83 some one June 24, 2009 at 4:15 pm

So is Kev trying to be the boyfriend of Yvette AND her daughter??

  48. 84 thaaeroprincess June 24, 2009 at 4:16 pm

I know this idiot did NOT propose!!!! Ok now I gotta know if she said yes or no, lol.

  49. 85 Lorraine June 24, 2009 at 4:22 pm

I just thought of something: what if Yvette has the “Commitment Issues” trait, and she just happened to be created as a family with a husband and daughter? She wouldn’t have chosen to get married; she would have come into being with a family she never chose to have. That would make it easier for her to cheat on another man and leave her husband. Especially one who is probably a gold digger, considering he was thinking about money while his wife was kissing Kev…

  50. 86 Ellie June 24, 2009 at 4:25 pm

    OMG!!!!
    What happens next??!!!
    The tension’s too much!!!

lovely change though. I hope she says yes…

  51. 87 Chris June 24, 2009 at 4:30 pm

Now there’s a truly warped thought–what if Yvette…has the *same* traits and Wish as Kev does? Kev could get hoisted on his own petard, not to mention it would put Yvette one up on him.😉

  52. 91 astrogirl June 24, 2009 at 4:41 pm

Thats a really big box for an engagement ring.

Also, Kev appears to already be wearing a ring on his ring finger. Is there a wife out there somewhere?

  53. 93 Mackenzie June 24, 2009 at 4:55 pm

When is Alice going to come back in the story? Isn’t this a story that “follows little girl Alice and her struggle to survive with no home, no money, no food, and the worst Dad in the world”? Just like your blog says??? When did Kev get all this attention, when we don’t even know yet how Alice is surviving with the exhaustion and no $! We were left with a cliffhanger that still hasn’t been solved. =(

Oh well. I still love the story anyway! =D

  54. 94 dave June 24, 2009 at 4:58 pm

well, if she says no he can always ask the daughter

  55. 95 Ray June 24, 2009 at 5:03 pm

Tsk tsk… Marriage does not fix everything… *hopeless look*

  56. 96 Anna Mckazz June 24, 2009 at 5:09 pm

In the first picture the daughter stands by kind of smiling.🙂

  57. 97 Ben June 24, 2009 at 5:12 pm

fun Fun FUN!! more More MORE!!! please Please PLEASE!!!! Well, you get the pattern. I❤ Alice and Kev!!!1111!!!oneOne0one!1! I hope Yvette says yes, that would be comedy in the making ;P

  58. 98 Jason June 24, 2009 at 5:14 pm

Interesting since Kev already has a wedding ring on his left hand…

  59. 99 Amber June 24, 2009 at 5:23 pm

    Say yes, Yvette!

Wait…won’t the blog have to be renamed?

Alice, Kev, and Yvette- a story of homelesness in the Sims 3

    Not quite as catchy….🙂

  60. 100 mandy June 24, 2009 at 5:27 pm

oh wow! I wonder if she says yes?!?!?! guess I’m gonna have 2 wait till 2morow!!!!!

  61. 101 Gina June 24, 2009 at 5:41 pm

Oh my gosh. I found this a couple days ago and read the whole thing straight through – and now it is KILLING me that there is only one brief post a day. Killing me.

If Sims marry in Sims 3, do you get to choose which lot they stay on? Will Kev and Alice have the option to move in with Yvette?

I just want Alice to have a bed …

    • 102 emli44 June 25, 2009 at 8:48 am

If Sims marry in Sims 3, the newlywed couple must live on the same lot, either (in this case) Kev’s household or Yvette’s. You are allowed to move in other family members as well–from both families.

  62. 103 hannah June 24, 2009 at 5:41 pm

oh yeah kev already has a ring on his wedding finger😮 dose he have sum big seacret we dont no about:o

  63. 104 abi June 24, 2009 at 5:41 pm

…well maybe now alice will actually be able to live somewhere!

  64. 105 Daghain June 24, 2009 at 5:50 pm

OMG LOL he proposed! Hilarious! And I wonder if a) he’ll let Alice live with him and b) what Yvette’s daughter will think about that.

    This is really getting interesting.

  65. 106 Will June 24, 2009 at 5:51 pm

I don’t know what makes the Sim engine decide on life changing moves for their lil’ folk, but seriously, if some hobo started putting the moves on you (you actually ended up liking said hobo) would you really marry em? I mean…. That’s just not logical.

Well, it will make for an interesting plot either way. Alice’s story will probably shift in another direction as she enters adulthood.

    • 107 Molly June 24, 2009 at 8:56 pm

The sims in sims 3 have traits…Kev probably has the insane trait and if Yvette has easily impressed or insane too then you never know what could happen

  66. 108 Brittney June 24, 2009 at 5:54 pm

Yvette’s daughter shoulda gone for it….with ears and a schnoz like that, Kev’s probably the first and last guy who’s ever going to be interested….

  67. 109 sanela June 24, 2009 at 6:02 pm

i’m addicted! this is funny but yet it has feeling🙂

  68. 110 Meredith June 24, 2009 at 6:04 pm

    AHHHHHHHH

  69. 111 Grey Sky (Yesmy1standlastnamesarereal) lol June 24, 2009 at 6:04 pm

Now Kev! We’re not all fooled, maybe Yvette is, BUT we all know and saw that you got that twenty-five cent ringo ut of the gumball machine by the grocery store! Why r u so cheap? You shouldn’t propose marriage if you can’t even afford a ring!

    Tsk, Tsk, Tsk Kev!

    –Grey Sky

  70. 112 Pylgrim June 24, 2009 at 6:11 pm

Love the “up-yours” smirk of the daughter in the first panel and the awestruck look on Yvette’s face on the last.

  71. 113 StamperCat June 24, 2009 at 6:11 pm

I downloaded Alice (child) and Kev last night, put them into Riverview and just set back and watched. They never left the lot, except for Alice going to school. They chatted and made friends. About 3 or 4 times he did something negative in addition to waking her up and telling her to leave the room. Kev died on the 4th day from hunger. It was fun to see the Grim Reaper as I hadn’t seen him before. I assume from this experience that you do have to do some kind of direction with them to produce a story, or this is just one scenario of the way they might play it out. It is great to watch the story unfold here though! Thanks, Robin

    • 114 Molly June 24, 2009 at 8:58 pm

They won’t do everything in free will…plus you have to have the settings changed to allow the maximum amount of free will…my sims will go else where and dig through the trash for food when necessary…or go to random people’s houses esp after school

  72. 115 Liam June 24, 2009 at 6:25 pm

I’m going to call my band “2wenty-5ive Cent Ringo.”

  73. 116 SkyWorld June 24, 2009 at 6:34 pm

I love the smug look on the daughter’s face when Yvette is yelling.

    “Ha ha, you’re in trooooooooooooouble!”

  74. 117 Kristen June 24, 2009 at 6:36 pm

I wonder if she says yes if Kev will move in with Yvette. That would be better for him, and if he does where will his daughter go, will she ever find someone to spend the rest of her life with. Well I cannot wait until the other part of this story is written. By the way Robin you are a great author!!!!

  75. 118 Kalika June 24, 2009 at 6:41 pm

Wow.. go Kevin you just got yourself a ring.. maybe you should sell it for food instead..😛
I’m guessing him confessing “everything” consist of his goals of having 10 women at the same time..?
Poor Yvette.. I hope she doesn’t marry him.
    & I’m addicted to this *_*

  76. 119 day_dae June 24, 2009 at 7:04 pm

When you are finished, could you make a book of this so I can buy a copy. You could use Blurb software to do it. http://www.blurb.com

  77. 120 Mark June 24, 2009 at 7:05 pm

    The ever-present chessboard…

I think Chess may be over-weighted in this game?

Can’t wait to see Kev Bin Diver get married. heh.

Alice should scrape together some money and start building a shelter in the park. Its “their” park!

    • 121 Toshiro's Girl June 24, 2009 at 7:56 pm

Since the average person doesn’t have a clue how to play chess, ya you’re right Mark. Maybe they should have made it an “optional” table, where a player can choose to play chess, or checkers, or some other logic style games, maybe go-fish, or crazy eights.

  78. 122 Maryellen June 24, 2009 at 7:24 pm

For the people who were commmenting on Kev’s wedding ring, he has a daughter doesn’t he? I mean she couldn’t have jsust appeared out of nowhere on Sims 3.

btw i love ur blog! keep up the good work!

    • 123 emli44 June 25, 2009 at 8:54 am

I beg to differ, sorry. >3
But, actually, in Sims 3 you can have your sim start off with a ring, on their ring finger, making it actually seem like they are married–and just like in Sims 3, a single mother can have a son, with no father. A single father, can have a daughter, with no mother.

In Sims 3, some sims spawn other sims.. xD i dont know how, dont wanna know either..

  79. 124 Rain June 24, 2009 at 7:25 pm

Okay, this has to be the greatest short story Ever! I wonder if Alice wil move in with her dad or just stay at their park by herself, Maybe then she’ll have better luck with a good life. PLEASE let Yvette marry Kev! then he’ll be out of Alice’s life for good!

  80. 126 EvilAlterEgo June 24, 2009 at 7:31 pm

Ha, now he has to tell Alice :-s
I love this story, it’s so addictive and you’re really talented, I love you sense of humour!
I think something went wrong in my version of Alice and Kev though – I downloaded child Alice and Kev, and the first thing they did was chat to each other and they get on really well! How odd the world is…

  81. 127 alicia June 24, 2009 at 8:17 pm

i think everyone has it wrong. yvette is obviously crazy enough to leave her husband for the hobo, she’d leave her house and family and be homeless, too!

    • 128 Nicole June 24, 2009 at 11:17 pm

Did anyone see the Dr. Phil show today? They something a tad familiar. There was this one woman (probably mid to late fifties) who left her millionaire husband for a biker with no job/money. Granted, the millionaire husband was controlling.

I was thinking about this story when I heard about that. lol. It’s not too crazy to think this can happen in real life.

  82. 129 kansine June 24, 2009 at 8:29 pm

Yes, it would definitely be intresting if Yvette married Kev! But I guess that she would automatically join their household in the park… and I think that would be even more intresting😀 I don’t want to get rid of Kev, like some of you do, I think he’s too hilarious to miss😉 But honestly, I think this story should now proceed a little faster, there as been so many events at Yvettes house that it’s time for some totally new scene!😛

    • 130 Molly June 24, 2009 at 9:01 pm

in the sims 3 you can choose what sim goes where once they get married…if they are only engaged though no official move is required…someone might chicken out at the alter!?!

  83. 131 Anna June 24, 2009 at 8:34 pm

This is so amaaaaaaazing!!!!!!!! But… does Alice have a mom??? If so, I think she should move in with her. Poor kid.
Also, I think Kev would probably just leave Yvette the next day… or get thrown out. I’m surprised Yvette kicked her husband out for such a horrible person…

I’m still waiting to get my copy of the Sims3 and also obsessively reading this story. I check everyday…

  84. 132 asdf June 24, 2009 at 8:40 pm

I wish you would update at least 1 Alice and 1 Kev post a day

  85. 133 Adante June 24, 2009 at 9:17 pm

She must be an idiot to accept…
The proposal was a surprise, surely I’ll do the same on that situation…

  86. 134 Vanessa June 24, 2009 at 9:24 pm

Can you blog more often a day? I understand you must be a busy person but I love this story and I don’t want to be kept in suspense!

  87. 135 jade June 24, 2009 at 9:43 pm

    just a couple questions

    A) Do they get billed (kez and Alice)
    B) if so then how much do they get billed normally
    C) HOw do they pay the BIlls

    • 136 Nicole June 24, 2009 at 11:05 pm

Probably just $5-15. I tried emulating a similar kind of experiment and with just a park bench and some trees, I was billed only $5 every three days or so.

  88. 137 Brittany June 24, 2009 at 10:06 pm

    OMG fantabulous cliff hanger!

  89. 138 DL♥ June 24, 2009 at 10:29 pm

I absolutely love this! You’ve done a fantastic job with narrating this story. The pictures, as well, are brilliant! Keep up the good work, Robin. =)

  90. 139 Sarah June 24, 2009 at 10:36 pm

That’s a wacky way to apologize, Kev. I doubt she’ll say yes so soon after you break her heart.

  91. 140 slothy7 June 24, 2009 at 11:07 pm

This is very entertaining. But does anybody else feel like it’s getting more and more outlandish?

what started out as an interesting social commentary has turned into a soup opera. an amusing soup opera, but a soup opera none the less.

    • 141 roBurky June 24, 2009 at 11:31 pm

Yeh, I’m not too happy with this soap opera-like section. Chronologically, it should have been interspersed with the previous Alice getting a job posts. The reason it wasn’t was because I was still debating whether to post it.

      • 142 slothy7 June 24, 2009 at 11:47 pm

interesting. whether or not to post the proposal episode? seems like a pretty big turn of events, but does seem detatched from the rest of the story a bit.

      • 143 Kalheka June 25, 2009 at 4:39 am

It does an excellent job of delineating Kev’s insane, innapropriate nature. The soap opera like part, in my mind, is the reaction of the sims he’s interacting with. Perhaps more soap-like than some would like, but I think it fits perfectly in following the behavior of Kev.

    • 144 Nolori June 24, 2009 at 11:47 pm

Such is the Sims though. To have a game of the Sims play out that wasn’t at all outlandish would be a feat indeed. Especially since this is a world where becoming a mad scientist isn’t particularly uncommon, your sims can be blue or green if you so wish, and women can give birth to half-human half-ghost babies.

If it’s realism you’re into, perhaps the Sims is not the best place to look.

    • 145 forrestgoodson June 25, 2009 at 3:54 am

      you mean soap opera, right?

  92. 146 Kiki.Girl June 24, 2009 at 11:12 pm

    omg i luve this story!!

  93. 147 Fer June 24, 2009 at 11:18 pm

I really really really wish your post were much longer, but they actually seem to be getting shorter every day

  94. 149 LJ June 24, 2009 at 11:26 pm

I’m certainly impressed at the realism despite the bizarre turns in story… lord knows how many people use marriage to try to patch a dysfunctional relationship.

  95. 150 Amber June 24, 2009 at 11:38 pm

I say she accepts. She DID leave her husband after all, for Kev, right?

What traits does she have Let’s hope one is insane, so she and kev can live out the rest of their lives happily and insanely.

  96. 151 Maria June 24, 2009 at 11:53 pm

Actually Yvette could become homeless with them, you can choose the house you want your sims to move into on Sims 3.

  97. 152 katierose June 24, 2009 at 11:57 pm

the look on the daughters face in the first pic seems to say “haha your gunna get it” wonder if she’ll say yes
    this story is great

  98. 153 neon June 25, 2009 at 12:07 am

AH!!!! what a place to stop at!

  99. 154 Gray June 25, 2009 at 12:21 am

    Smooth, Kev, smooth.

  100. 155 Carmen June 25, 2009 at 12:52 am

haha! good stuff! Where in the world did he find a ring?

  101. 156 Pam June 25, 2009 at 1:22 am

Hey this is so funny i’m really enjoying the story haha.

  102. 157 Lescentive June 25, 2009 at 1:30 am

it is a great short story on pause but extremely colorful and animated. Of course Kev is going to propose, hope she sais yes, mostly because of the added drama.. too funny..

  103. 158 Maureen June 25, 2009 at 2:57 am

Awesome story telling! You rock! I’m looking forward to many more chapters!

  104. 159 mandy June 25, 2009 at 2:59 am

hey this blog is awesome!!! but everyday the stories get shorter and shorter! why torture us?!?!?!

  105. 161 Thomas June 25, 2009 at 3:32 am

    i give 75% shes gonna say yes🙂

  106. 162 Eric Richardville June 25, 2009 at 3:42 am

I don’t think that is going to work. He will, undoubtedly try it, but it won’t work.

  107. 163 Rinari June 25, 2009 at 4:20 am

Did Kev decide to propose on his own, or did you suggest it?

  108. 164 Kalheka June 25, 2009 at 4:41 am

Wonderful job Robin. You do have a talent for story telling.

  109. 165 jtp June 25, 2009 at 5:09 am

I actually tried to imitate your homeless characters but I ran into some problems:
A: Both Sims have red eyes and look demonic.
B: The daughter is cloned from the dad; picture Bill Clinton’s face on a chubby 14-year-old girl.
C: There’s too many plants and it counts as decoration.
D: I should not have given them butterflies. They stay up all night clapping.
E: It’s really easy to barge into peoples’ houses and use their stuff.
F: .. got the neighbour pregnant, after she dumped her husband. (Sadly, the baby has blue-eyes.)

Your pictures make me sad. I tried to turn my settings up today and my computer lagged worse than a snail in a snow storm.

  110. 166 Christine June 25, 2009 at 5:13 am

Check out the schnozz on the daughter.

I sure hope Kev’s previous ghost girlfriend doesn’t find out about all this….

  111. 167 Setari June 25, 2009 at 6:23 am

did he propose on his OWN? Or did Robin do it for him? if he did it on his own that’s amazing stuff. I was really surprised and kinda gave me goosebumps.

Go go KEV! What’s alice been doing through all of this though? im sure youve been documenting what alice has been doing anyway, lol.

  112. 168 Setari June 25, 2009 at 6:24 am

Mandy, maybe Robin’s life is filling with useless junk? =P

  113. 169 Hayley June 25, 2009 at 6:39 am

Saw your blog mention on Yahoo.com.I love it.I just read all the updates up til now.Why do they have to be soooo short?I love this..very good.Keep the great work!

  114. 170 Jessi June 25, 2009 at 7:20 am

I like the look on the daughter’s face in the first one. He tried to kiss her, she rejected him, and now the grin shows she’s happy that mommy is laying into him for being a jerkface. Woot!

  115. 171 Jayman June 25, 2009 at 7:57 am

You know…for everyone asking “Where did he get a ring,” according to the last picture…all it shows is a box…for all we know…he could have a pet mouse tucked away in there…no one knows but Kev😉

  116. 172 joshy94 June 25, 2009 at 8:06 am

This is an insanely well written story blog thing.😄 Keep it up I love it!

  117. 173 nalabean June 25, 2009 at 8:41 am

    more…please! I can’t stand the anticipation!!!

  118. 174 emli44 June 25, 2009 at 8:57 am

I beg to differ with all the people saying that Yvette is insane if she accepts the proposal..

A wise guy once told me, “Love is amazing.”

  119. 175 Myles June 25, 2009 at 3:30 pm

Lol, funny. Now to read the next chapter.

  120. 176 Evan June 25, 2009 at 3:54 pm

Man, this is a good read. why did u have to leave us burning with the obvious question “omg did she say yes?” anyways it’s really good and makes u want to read the next

  121. 177 Addicted to Sims 3 June 26, 2009 at 4:19 am

LMAO! Did anyone notice the woman’s daughter’s face….she’s all smiles when Kev got caught LOL!!

  122. 178 kechu July 29, 2009 at 7:20 am

    tin foil ring😛

  123. 180 cartoonfansparadise August 8, 2009 at 4:23 pm

i like how in that first pic, the daughter is smiling

  124. 181 Emmz September 18, 2010 at 12:09 pm

    lmfao

    Good one Kev

  125. 182 Dizzy October 6, 2010 at 12:18 am

Where did Kev get the ring?

  126. 183 BlairBear76 August 15, 2011 at 6:08 am

I know someone who did this exactly!! His girlfriend found out about him cheating on her and to make her forgive him and show his commitment he proposed to her. The silly girl said yes as well lol.
