Yvette’s husband storms off. He and Kev are now enemies. This pleases Kev, and he’s come up with a new wish. He follows after him to make it happen.

Kev finds him in the kitchen. Kev leaps on him, knocking the old man to the ground.

They fight, as the daughter makes a salad, oblivious to the events.

The old man is left in pain as Kev stands triumphant.

  5. 14 Debaser June 21, 2009 at 7:34 am

The daughter has quite a large nose

  6. 24 Mauro June 21, 2009 at 7:35 am

Bravo! your story is really really catchy! lol’d at the daughter’s indifference while her dad fights. Also, can’t wait to know what happens to alice. Keep it up! πŸ™‚

  7. 25 Megan June 21, 2009 at 7:39 am

I love the dust cloud around them as they fight! LOL! It reminds me of the old tasmanian devil cartoon.

LOVE the blog by the way. I have sims in Sim 3, but haven’t dared to create a severely messed up one like Kev. Maybe I’ll try that soon!

    Thanks for sharing!

    • 26 kurgannazzir June 22, 2009 at 1:22 am

I created 3 (a father and two kids) that are pretty messed up. Sad thing is they reflect the people I live with, lol. But…I haven’t played them much at all, been too busy with my evil guy that is now Emperor of Evil.

Still loving this blog. I wish I had a smidgen of the writing talent displayed here.

  8. 27 Colorful June 21, 2009 at 7:47 am

haha. Big nosed and big ear family πŸ˜›

  9. 28 Jacklyn June 21, 2009 at 7:48 am

The nose same as the father’s one.

  10. 29 Ezbik June 21, 2009 at 7:48 am

Kev looks like some kind of demon in that pic!

  11. 30 Jackrabbit June 21, 2009 at 8:02 am

Any and all respect I have for Kev is now totally gone. What an asshole.

  12. 34 myranda June 21, 2009 at 8:03 am

lol i couldnt get past the daughter’s nose either πŸ˜€

  13. 35 Little Miss Smile June 21, 2009 at 8:03 am

Hahahahaha. Woww.. This story just keeps getting better. It made me buy the Sims actually. Keep up an amazing job of storytelling!

  14. 36 Rick S. June 21, 2009 at 8:07 am

What, Kev doesn’t have a shiv to kill the guy with?

  15. 37 Putzy Von Putzingburg The Third June 21, 2009 at 8:10 am

I just do not understand why or how she said yes!
    It boggles the mind!

  16. 40 Stephen S. June 21, 2009 at 8:15 am

Wow.. this is just messed up. 😦

  17. 41 forrest goodson June 21, 2009 at 8:31 am

dammit, i would buy this game if i had a good enough computer! thinking of some sort of fundraiser i can do though… and, does this sound mean that i hope they stay in poverty? thats what makes it interesting

    • 42 Denise June 21, 2009 at 10:51 pm

Actually my computer is 7 years old and only has one gig of RAM memory, but because of a few simple and very cheap modifications it runs the Sims 3 very well. Of course it slows down a bit on the big lots, but it still works!

This story has taken quite an intersting turn hasn’t it!?

  18. 44 Fadhli June 21, 2009 at 9:03 am

The drama gets better and better. I can’t wait for more updates!

  19. 45 Nadine June 21, 2009 at 9:13 am

Have you guys looked at the old man’s nose? The daughter has her father’s nose..

  20. 46 melaniem June 21, 2009 at 9:17 am

“Mum’s leaving us for a homeless guy who’s now here fighting Dad in the kitchen… time for a salad!”

    Love it πŸ™‚

  21. 47 Drew June 21, 2009 at 9:30 am

Kev’s behavior truly is a sight to behold. One minute he steals the love of a man’s life right out from under him, then he assaults said man in an act of bizarre proportions. I love it.

  22. 48 A-Sha June 21, 2009 at 10:51 am

xD LOL! The daughter’s a total ignorant. Making salad while the father gets salad-ed by Kev xD

  23. 49 Hananaiah June 21, 2009 at 10:53 am

if we play on genetics, will they have a son that resembles dumbo?

  24. 50 emirry June 21, 2009 at 11:14 am

check out out old lady’s nasty green armpits

  25. 51 Alex June 21, 2009 at 11:28 am

Anyone notice Yvette’s green mist under her armpits? And I just couldn’t believe that the daughter was in a happy mood, making salad while Kev just made her dad’s ass go KA-PHLOOEY!!

  26. 52 Celara June 21, 2009 at 11:30 am

Wow…the look in Kev’s eyes as he starts the fight with the old man…scary. If looks could kill, I don’t think the ex-husband would be complaining of back pain…unless it was from one of the kitchen knives.

  27. 53 Sean June 21, 2009 at 11:49 am

I have to say that is a pretty amazing sequence of events. πŸ™‚

  28. 54 Mr. Mastodon Farm June 21, 2009 at 11:53 am

Talk about adding insult to injury! Or vice versa, actually.

  29. 55 Robson June 21, 2009 at 12:11 pm

That is awesome. People in this family have been programmed not to care about other people, and Kev’s awoken something deeply suppressed in Yvette. Or is the daughter just too traumatised for anything but salad?

  30. 56 Geert June 21, 2009 at 12:46 pm

wow, this is getting serious πŸ™‚ the suspense!

  31. 58 Samantha June 21, 2009 at 12:58 pm

I had to go back and look through the pics a few extra times to see everything. It doesn’t really matter where the girl gets it but the big nose and ears kinda were distracting. Go figure the big eared family also has a gene for a big nose.

  32. 59 Samantha June 21, 2009 at 12:58 pm

  33. 60 Smurfy June 21, 2009 at 1:21 pm

OK I’m deleting Alice and Kev from my bookmarks, it’s just shit now.

  34. 64 jakehh June 21, 2009 at 1:49 pm

    Violence is never the answer

    *shakes head*

  35. 65 Haplo June 21, 2009 at 2:08 pm

Kev has the blood of chivalry in him. He likes to settle things in single combat before claiming the lady.

The order he does it in is whack, but you can’t have everythin’.

  36. 66 S June 21, 2009 at 2:09 pm

The fighting looks so…wrong. And what’s that at Yvette’s armpit?

  37. 68 HAB June 21, 2009 at 2:38 pm

Wait, Kev has ANOTHER teenage daughter?

    • 69 Jaclyn June 21, 2009 at 7:53 pm

Hahaha, didn’t even think of that til you said it, but it’s true. If they marry, he’s got a step-daughter. And Alice has a sister! Woo!

  38. 70 Pi4noBl4ck June 21, 2009 at 3:00 pm

    This is all metaforically good.

  39. 72 Dryad61 June 21, 2009 at 3:28 pm

This family is messed up. Grouchy dad, indifference daughter. No wonder Yvette is looking for adventure with Kev. She’ll regret it later but at least Kev wants to kiss her. I’ll bet the husband hasn’t touched her in years.

  40. 73 Killa-Ewok June 21, 2009 at 3:42 pm

You are now aware that Kev is kinda hot.

  41. 74 Pooka June 21, 2009 at 3:50 pm

By reading the responses, apparently no one has ever made an enemy in between Sims before. As soon as your Sim becomes an enemy with another Sim, they receive the wish to fight their new enemy. I’ve had this happen in my game, and my Sim was not evil or any other negative traits.

    • 75 Kat June 21, 2009 at 4:46 pm

Exactly. I’ve had so many sims get into fights (even among the “welcoming committee”) because they are enemies. The difference is that my sims all have to go watch the fight and stop what they are doing.

  42. 76 jrizos June 21, 2009 at 3:56 pm

The attenuation of the story line, what brought me here in the first place (from BoingBoing) is dying down lately!

Show us the inner lives and thoughts of your characters, rather than just reporting on the events! You are a terrific writer!

  43. 77 Myles June 21, 2009 at 4:00 pm

I’ve just found my way to this blog (Through word of mouth) and I love the story, I’ve finally read every post so far. Looking forward to future updates. πŸ™‚

  44. 78 ixobelle June 21, 2009 at 4:07 pm

just found this today, and read it all up to here.

  45. 79 Sarah June 21, 2009 at 4:13 pm

Dang, Kev hurt an old man! that’s just plain mean.

  46. 80 Taras June 21, 2009 at 4:22 pm

Sometimes salad is the only answer

  47. 81 Lyra June 21, 2009 at 4:23 pm

Maybe making salad helps the daughter cope?…o_0 Either that, or she’s hungry. XD And also, everyone’s saying that Kev beat up an old man…isn’t KEV an old man? o_0 I mean, his beard’s grey, so I wouldn’t rule out the possibility…though either way, I suppose it’s mean to beat up anyone. XP

  48. 82 Katie June 21, 2009 at 4:37 pm

Is Yvette an elder, or does she just have grey hair?

  49. 83 OneHappyAtheist June 21, 2009 at 4:45 pm

Yvette’s, um, stench is probably just due to the fact that this was in the morning, and this all occurred before she had time to take a shower. Remember yesterday: “He meets Yvette in the front garden as she heads to pick up the morning paper.” And if you look in those photos, you don’t see any of the green air.

@Katie: If you look at her face, she obviously is an elder. The third pic down on yesterday’s post shows a good shot of her face, I think.

  50. 84 Kate June 21, 2009 at 4:45 pm

To me, the second picture looks like Kev is giving the old man a hug. :3

    Hugs can hurt.

  51. 85 Arbitrary June 21, 2009 at 5:00 pm

I have just read this saga in its so-far entirety.

I was in massive massive need of a cheering up, and this has been just what I need. Really heartwarming. Keep up the good work! I hope this does not end for a long time.

  52. 86 Bob June 21, 2009 at 5:10 pm

ROFL this story keeps gettin better and better
cannot WAIT until i get a quick enough computer to play sims 3… for now im stuck with the sims stories…. but i am sooo going to try doing something like that.

  53. 87 Mythos June 21, 2009 at 5:35 pm

    That last screenshot is awesome.

    Go, Kev!

  54. 88 Mandy June 21, 2009 at 5:50 pm

  55. 89 Alisa June 21, 2009 at 5:55 pm

Just keeps getting better and better.I also bought sims3 and now I couldnt seem to get any work done πŸ™‚ so addictive! Kev FTW

  56. 90 Anonymous June 21, 2009 at 6:23 pm

This is one of the most beautiful, genuine, and intriguing things I’ve stumbled across in my entire life. It shocks me that these things that are depicted by…a GAME character…are touching me and making me cry. What’s more, it has raised my awareness of what it’s like to be a homeless person, and I believe I’ll do more in the future now to help the homeless because of this. This is a beautiful thing you’ve got going on here, please do keep it up. Oh, and I really want the Sims 3 now. Any game that can emulate this sort of emotion is worth buying. Thanks so much for making this, keep on going!

  57. 91 Abigail June 21, 2009 at 6:42 pm

Have you guys notice even though Yvette left her husband he still has the wedding ring on…. and so does Kev…

  58. 92 anit1983 June 21, 2009 at 6:58 pm

“Daddy, what happened? Mommy left with a homeless man who kicked your butt? Here have some salad.” lol

  59. 93 emily June 21, 2009 at 7:07 pm

    just to let you know:

after finding this blog yesterday afternoon and reading every entry, i downloaded sims 3 before i went to bed. so thanks to you, i’ve been playing ALL DAY. and i could not be happier

  60. 94 Zarabeth June 21, 2009 at 7:42 pm

is it possible that Yvette’s husband is incredibly abusive? perhaps it took someone as abrasive and crazy as Kev to stand up to him, and that’s why Yvette took to him so quickly. it would also explain why Yvette’s daughter isn’t intervening….

  61. 95 Amber June 21, 2009 at 8:12 pm

I luv alice and kev!!!!!!!!!!!!! this site rox!

  62. 96 Mason June 21, 2009 at 8:22 pm

    are you sure they where fighting in the second picture ?_?;

  63. 97 Dragica June 21, 2009 at 8:23 pm

i love this story i just read all posts and it’s awesome πŸ˜€

  64. 98 SkyWorld June 21, 2009 at 8:33 pm

That look on the old man’s face in the last pic is hilarious. Hm, obviously the daughter doesn’t care much about dear old dad.

  65. 99 LiteratiTempo June 21, 2009 at 8:50 pm

Your blog is awesome. Poor old woman has no idea what she is getting into. I love my Sims 3, I think the personalities do so much for the gameplay. I let my sims get their own traits as they grow pretty interesting.

  66. 100 KyriCaliptis June 21, 2009 at 9:07 pm

Omg, I’m in linve with your picture-blog story. I knew the ability to take screenshots to tell a story had potential, and you’ve realized that potential 110%. Well written, well imagined, and well played, I’m eager to read your next installment. My only request: help Alice find permanent love and happiness! She deserves it. Or atleast, as much as a fictional character can deserve something. =] You should be proud, reading the comments on these pages really shows that you’ve gotten people to think about more than just the simple story you tell but the deeper meanings and lessons we all can incorporate into our real lives! Keep up the great work! =]

  67. 101 Grey Sky (Yesmy1standlastnamesarereal) lol June 21, 2009 at 9:33 pm

oh wow! Kev never ceases 2 amaze me! thx 4 another laugh Robin! as usal it was great!

  68. 102 divinegon June 21, 2009 at 9:44 pm

I’m wondering how this all romance thing is gonna end. I mean Kev is homeless and he’s supposed to stay homeless forever – you can’t fool your nature ;). He should defenetely break up with Yvette ;D.

  69. 103 Livvi June 21, 2009 at 9:57 pm

That’s great. I wonder if Kev will dump Yvette so he can complete his lifetime wish.

    Where’s Alice?

  70. 104 Jason Kid Thing June 21, 2009 at 10:09 pm

Yvettes daughter’s nose is… kinda big xD

  71. 105 Jared June 21, 2009 at 11:05 pm

Robin, you should try to get alice to make friends with the daughter, despite how much she must hate kev right now. I wonder how that would go.

  72. 106 β™₯RAWRβ™₯ June 21, 2009 at 11:20 pm

maybe the woman with the green armpuit funk will kick her husband out of the house and theyll have a house now????

  73. 107 Lexa June 21, 2009 at 11:22 pm

Yvette’s Daughter: I need a salad. I haven’t had a salad in hours. I have salad withdrawel. Don’t mock the salad. I SAID DON’T MOCK THE SALAD!!

  74. 108 Paige June 21, 2009 at 11:22 pm

I understand! They are both sociopathic! It all makes sense…

  76. 110 John June 21, 2009 at 11:34 pm

Hey writer of this story, i downloaded alice and kev, and when i went to thier lot to, well honestly, to find a way to kill kev, i noticed that there was a baby there named freddy or something lying in the grass, he had the same famiy name of alice and kev, any idea where the baby came from???

  77. 111 Ray June 21, 2009 at 11:50 pm

Poor Mr. old man Grisby… But, I’m still happy for kev πŸ™‚

  78. 112 Marissa June 22, 2009 at 12:05 am

Oh my god, I love this! I’ve been reading every day. Kev should get married to Yvette! Then they should have a kid! πŸ˜€
Or maybe Alice should get married to an extremely rich person or something…

anyways! Keep going! I ❀ the story.

  79. 113 Russ June 22, 2009 at 12:12 am

I just started reading these yesterday. Wow… this is really fascinating. Thank you for sharing these. πŸ™‚

  80. 114 You Dontwannaknow June 22, 2009 at 12:37 am

I feel really bad for the teenage daughter. Not that her parents are most likely going to split up, but she has huge ears and nose.

  81. 115 Mr.Jker June 22, 2009 at 12:53 am

The second picture looks like kev is hugging the old man…

  82. 116 Karen June 22, 2009 at 1:14 am

ohmy! Is Kev gonna get married to Yvette? :OOO

  83. 117 tina June 22, 2009 at 1:46 am

    Great series!

  85. 119 Ann June 22, 2009 at 2:14 am

Happy Fathers day to Kev… hehe

  86. 120 Setari June 22, 2009 at 3:20 am

lol, this is pretty funny, i figured kev was going to do something drastic.. but not this drastic. Way to go Kev! I didn’t even think sims could DO that in this game, lol.

keep it goin, i come back ‘ere ever day!!

  87. 121 Sims3_Fan_27 June 22, 2009 at 3:43 am

Aubury – I agree with you! Alice would be an amazing mother; supposing she had someone that loved her.

  88. 122 vesilber1389 June 22, 2009 at 4:04 am

Read all the posts and I absolutely love this story!!! You’re narration is so great and you take the best in-game pictures! You’ve made a Sim story positively riveting and for that I admire and envy you πŸ˜€
Please keep posting! I can’t wait to read more!
All the love in the world,

    Nice move kev…

  90. 124 LJ June 22, 2009 at 5:53 am

hahhaha I guess it wasn’t enough just to steal his wife… he’s got to beat him up too. Brutal.

  91. 126 StefE June 22, 2009 at 6:19 am

Ok, So what has our beloved Alice been up to?

  92. 127 Josh June 22, 2009 at 7:41 am

Someone pointed out that Alice would make a good mother….yeah, she might….Until she shows up at the child’s house and falls asleep on their lawn….

And as for Kev….my god….complete nutter

To be totally honest, I read about this on the Yahoo News…and even as it said “Don’t start reading ANY of these unless you have enough time to read them ALL, as you won’t be able to stop.”…And I scoffed at the idea, proclaiming is stupid. And I’ve now read from beginning to end, and I am surprisingly impressed with the writing, and the complexity of the Sims games now….last I ever played was The Sims 1, and it wasn’t NEARLY as complex and interesting as this is.

  93. 128 Kansine June 22, 2009 at 8:31 am

I can’t waiiiiit to see how thihgs are with Alice and how she will react to Kev’s new woman…

  94. 129 Darren June 22, 2009 at 5:08 pm

The old man reminds me of Brucie from GTA4 for some reason.

    Anyway… GREAT SERIES.

  95. 130 TeamJacob June 22, 2009 at 7:29 pm

    that is one ugly girl.
how is yvette so pretty and then the daughter is hideous?
my sister got a wish on her sim to meet yvette and i freaked.
    it was funny
u rock robin! i dont get how someone could have such sweetness writing skills and take great pictures!
i want to go to a graphic arts school, and i have one question.
are these pictures real, or do you make them yourself? theyre obviously real sim pictures, but do you catch them at the rite moment or do you manouver things?

  96. 132 Amber June 23, 2009 at 12:43 am

That nose pic’s priceless! Nose job gone wrong!

  97. 133 splidge June 23, 2009 at 2:32 pm

  98. 134 Kalika June 24, 2009 at 6:37 pm

  102. 138 Emily June 29, 2009 at 7:10 pm

Wow, Kev should win an award for Most Violent Hobo. Haha.

    No, seriously

  103. 139 Azalea_Sway June 30, 2009 at 6:12 am

Hey, is it just me or is the second picture kind of… I don’t know… haha… funny. I didn’t mean to think it! But the page was loading really, really slow so I just stared at it and found that my mind was thinking of sick things. >.> I SCARRED MYSELF.

  104. 140 Azalea_Sway June 30, 2009 at 6:13 am

And I just noticed one thing, I’m surprised that Kev’s still wearing his wedding ring after all these years. Not to mention, where’d he get the money to afford a golden ring??

  105. 141 Jeniveve July 5, 2009 at 6:13 pm

    Beating up an old man!
