When I got 7 emails in a row yesterday, I thought for sure the page had a spammer. What a joy to find people are still finding this blog and enjoying the story! I’ve been homeless myself in life, so I keep using my self-Sim and meeting the characters from here at the homeless shelters I built for them. I just can’t stop playing these characters. I was wondering which new downloaded world I might play tonight, and which characters. It might be time to see how Alice & Kev fare with the change of the Seasons! Or maybe a Supernatural potion could help them out. Certainly a consignment store! I do have mods, for various after-school activities, so I’d love to see if Alice can get a decent childhood out of it. I suppose I could take Zedadias to Create A Sim, make him younger, and have them go to high school together!

Just finished reading Alice and Kevs story with my girlfriend. She loves the sims but thought this would be silly. She was having a busy day but I insisted on reading her a few panels. All of a sudden it turned into a game of “just one more page”, we read it from beginning to end.
I want to know why Kev was looking after Alice and hadn’t given her up years ago. Did Kev’s wife die in childbirth, sending Kev mad with grief and unable to cope with life but saddled with a child that constantly reminded him of what he’d lost? Did he see her in Alice and so wasn’t able to let go?
For some reason my favorite bit in the story was when Kev went on his journey and right in the middle stops to shout at some rocks.
and yes, I cried a little when Alice gave her first paycheck to charity.
The story was astounding and touching. Both of us kept looking at each other with exasperation and kept saying “but its just a game!” how the hell did it make us care for those 2 so much?
the screen caps were amazing, the writing was excellent. 10 thumbs up from me.

I wanted to share this, even if nobody is checking this anymore:

I should have been asleep an hour ago, but wanted to read a funny sims story briefly, and I -never- read stuff like that. Then I found this in a blog. I don’t think I’ve ever been so moved by something like this.

You have incredible writing talent and the pictures made this. I laughed so much, my heart was breaking, and I could feel the odd jealousy for Zed and his girlfriend. I pitied the crazy dad so much.

I think if anyone who ever worked on this project read this, they would see their efforts have lasting impact. I almost feel like this is the real way to play the game now.

Thanks for taking the time to spin this witty, lovely, bittersweet and elegant tale for anyone who would be open to really hearing it. Really… Thank you :’)

this story is so good, and the writing, too. been re-installing Sims 3 with new EPs, and reading this literally for hours! gripping!
